Today, here in Sattam Photography, we will be taking up the topic of RAW vs JPEG.
Lots of Questions for the beginners. Which one to take up. Yes, RAW is more space consuming on an average of 25 MB shots, needs to be operated in a software.
But, JPEG images are like ready made cakes. You can get a sharp/good image and thats it. None of the mistakes made while clicking, can be rectified and the properties of the are burned before hitting the sensor and the properties cannot be enhanced further.
But, a Raw photo saves almost 99.99% of the properties of the image, as Exposure, Saturation, etc.
RAW vs. JPEG
The left one is a RAW image which is further enhanced in Software Canon DPP.

When you click with RAW, the image is not burnt before hitting the sensor.
